Clean Communities, Healthy Generations
Why this initiative
Clean & Care treats a clean lane, a clean masjid and a clean body as part of faith, not as a municipal afterthought. The vision is a neighbourhood that can keep itself well: hygiene people understand, water people do not waste, and waste people do not throw at the neighbour’s door. Campaigns are the start. The habit is the aim.
What we aim to do
- Cleanliness people can repeat, not only photograph
- Hygiene and safe-water awareness in homes and schools
- Less plastic, less standing waste, more shade
- Children who see care of a place as amanah, not as someone else’s job

Project inside Clean & Care Initiative
Green Amanah
The earth is a trust. This is the project that makes that trust visible in a neighbourhood.
Green Amanah is the Clean & Care project for the ground. Amanah means something placed in your care. The land, the water, the tree outside the masjid and the street the children walk are that kind of trust. It is a small, repeating practice for families, masjids and schools: keep the place clean, plant what you will also water, refuse the plastic you do not need, and teach a child that a drain is not a bin. A lane that is cleaner next month than this month has begun.
- Masjid, school and lane cleanliness drives with the people who live there
- Plastic-free Fridays in homes and gatherings
- Trees that are planted and then looked after, not abandoned
- Water: no open waste into drains, no careless use in wudu and homes
- A children’s circle: one habit a month, reported by the family
- Seasonal work — monsoon cleaning, Ramadan waste, summer shade
